Credential Property, landlords of, retail & trade park, The Point, Hamilton Hill, Port Dundas has brought, the UK’s leading oriental food specialist, See Woo to Glasgow for the very first time providing the city’s largest oriental cash & carry and proposed 500 covers function suite, restaurant

The £4.80 per sq.ft. letting of units 2 & 3, encompasses 93,000 sq.ft. on a 25 years FRI lease with a 20 year break option. This leaves only 5,500 sq.ft remaining of the 190,000 sq ft retail and trade counter estate.

Marilyn MacMillan, Sales Director, Credential Property, said, “Since the departure of long-leaseholder Eddie Stobart in March 2005 we have almost completely renovated The Point. The letting to See Woo is exactly the kind of quality anchor tenant we were looking for and we have worked closely with the company to retrofit the premises to meet their exacting requirements. This transformation from standard warehouse distribution unit to Class 6, Cash & Carry meets the needs of the area and See Woo and we look forward to announcing more tenants later this year.”

See Woo, established in 1975 and originating in London’s Chinatown, has opened the oriental cash & carry specialising in authentic oriental cuisine; from exotic fruit and vegetables, specialist roast meats and an impressive live seafood tank to an endless selection of herbs, spices, sauces, rice and noodles. In addition a 500 cover restaurant will provide long needed public and private function facilities for events such as weddings etc.

The Point, currently being refurbished by Credential Property comprises a striking steel archway frontage and includes a new facade of glass and silver cladding complemented by flagpoles and plantings. The Point is just under 1.5 miles from the city centre and occupies a landmark position on the corner of Saracen Street and Possil Road/Keppochhill Road. Visitor parking and pedestrian access is to the front of the building whilst Commercial access is to the rear.
