Virginia Court, Glasgow

Virginia Court  and Galleries sits between Virginia Street and Miller Street in the heart of the Merchant City.  It forms the final portion of the Merchant's Wynds which are the roads and lanes traversed by the City Merchants in the days of the tobacco and sugar booms of the later 1700's, early 1800's.  Along the Merchant's Wynds are the original offices and warehouses used by the Merchants to conduct their business, including the Tobacco Exchange in Virginia Street, the site of which will now house the new build Virginia Court and Galleries. 

The elegant courtyard arcade will be completed in the summer of 2009 to provide a variety of niche shopping and dining experiences in an historical setting.  Shopping units will range in size from 500 to 5,000 square feet.
